Third Woman Accuses New York Governor

Andrew Cuomo, the governor of New York, is under the microscope again as a third woman comes forward accusing him of sexual assault. Cuomo has denied the allegations for each of these cases, stating that while he sometimes jokes and teases his staff’s personal lives, he has never crossed the line into the realm of inappropriate advances.

According to this US Today article by Joseph Spector, the third woman alleged that Cuomo spoke to her at a wedding before “he grabbed her face with both hands and asked if he could kiss her.” The governor has apologized, though his apology was not for his actions but for them being misinterpreted. The second woman has since criticized this statement for failing to own his role in the allegations.
