Former Staffer Files Sexual Harassment Lawsuit

Senator Bob Archuleta

A former staffer of Senator Bob Archuleta (D-Pico Rivera) anonymously filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against the representative. According to this Los Angeles Times article by Taryn Luna, the former staffer stated that Archuleta not only made inappropriate comments about her body and tried  to date her, but allegedly retaliated against her after she reported the incident to her supervisor.

The article additionally states the plaintiff reported that after multiple incidents and her rejection, she received less responsibility in her position. The plaintiff had worked in public service for 14 years without ever receiving diminished responsibility or any warnings. The plaintiff viewed this as retaliation. Archuleta has denied these allegations.
