Coca-Cola recently made headlines after a session of their equity training was leaked online. In the session, the message “be less white” caught the public’s attention and caused outrage, particularly from conservative critics. According to Christina Zhao’s Newsweek article, a whistleblower from inside the company was responsible for sharing photos of antiracism training slides.
Critics of the leaked images state that the training is “anti-white.” However, Coca-Cola representatives responded with the statement that the viral photos were from “a publicly available LinkedIn Learning series and is not a focus of our company’s curriculum.” The LinkedIn Learning series is focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion and was created by bestselling author Robin DiAngelo.
